Penelope Keith, OBE, (born April 2, 1940) is an English actress, best known for her appearances in the BBC television situation comedies To the Manor Born and The Good Life (American title: Good Neighbors). Her characters are usually likeable but pompous and slightly ridiculous upper-class ladies, as in the preceding examples.

In 2000, she was appointed High Sheriff of Surrey, and served for two years.

She was born Penelope Anne Constance Hatfield in Sutton evidently in 1940, although she has always been shy about her age, and some sources have her born as early as 1930. She stands 5'10". She married Rodney Timson in 1978, and has two adopted sons.
