| Pete Birrell (born 19 July 1935, died 23 June 2004) was a British musician in the band Freddie and the Dreamers which had a number of hit records in 1963-1964. He played the bass guitar. After the Dreamers broke up, Birrell became a taxi driver and actor, appearing in the Doctor Who story "Frontier in Space" in 1973.
