| Rachel Gurney (March 5 1920 - November 24 2001) was a British actress who is best known for playing the lovely Lady Marjorie Bellamy on the LWT classic Upstairs Downstairs. She also starred on other TV shows such as Lost Empires (1986) and Fall Eagles (1974). Gurney married Denys Rhodes in 1946 but this ended in 1950 in divorce. Despite false stories she did not remarry him and divorce him again. She starred in several films too, such as The Portrait of a Lady and Little Sir Nicholas.
