Actors - Rachel Melvin

Rachel Melvin (born February 9, 1985 in Elmhurst, Illinois) is an American actress.

She is best known for her role as Chelsea Benson on the NBC soap opera Days Of Our Lives since May 2005. The character was introduced as Abigail Deveraux's (Ashley Benson
) best friend. Chelsea was adopted by the Bensons as an infant and they raised her until their deaths in a car accident. DNA evidence proved that Chelsea was in fact Bo Brady (Peter Reckell
) and Billie Reed's (Julie Pinson
) long-thought-stillborn daughter Georgia.

Months before she took over the role of Chelsea (originally portrayed by Mandy Musgrave), Melvin appeared in five episodes as Georgia LaMarque, a French girl whom Bo and Billie had been falsely led to believe was their daughter.

Melvin has also made a small independent film called Boo and has guest-starred on Summerland, Jack & Bobby and 8 Simple Rules.
