Richard Fleeshman is the son of television actor David Fleeshman and soap actress Sue Jenkins (who was also in The Street when pregnant with him). His sister, Emily Fleeshman, is also an actress. Richard has played the role of Craig Harris in Coronation Street since 2002. He was the only member of his on screen family to escape the axe in 2005.

Richard is also a singer. In 2003, he won a Stars in Their Eyes celebrity special, impersonating singer Will Young. He also won Soapstar Superstar, a programme where soapstars sing against each other in order to win money for charity, in 2006. Richard donated the £100,000 prize money to the Kirsty Appeal. He is currently dating his Soapstar Superstar co-star Roxanne Pallett, who split up with her boyfriend for Richard.
