Rita Wilson (born Margarita Ibrahimov October 26, 1956) is an American actress and producer of Bulgarian Pomak (Bulgarian father) and Greek (Greek mother) descent. She has been married to Tom Hanks
since April 1988, and has two children.

Wilson is often credited with being the driving force behind Nia Vardalos
's movie deal for My Big Fat Greek Wedding
