| Robert Bathurst (born 1958, Ghana) is a British actor. He moved to Ireland when he was 3. He became president of the Cambridge Footlights, and studied law in London. His major roles include Mark Taylor in Joking Apart, David Marsden in Cold Feet and the Prime Minister in My Dad's the Prime Minister. He has appeared in many other television shows, including Red Dwarf, The House of Eliott and the pilot episode of Blackadder. He appeared in the video for Westlife's "Uptown Girl", a charity single for Comic Relief.
