| Robert Gerringer (May 12,1926-November 8,1989) was an American character actor known as Dr. Dave Woodward #2 on the cult TV series Dark Shadows in 1967. He left the show due to cross the picket line during an , he was replaced by Peter Turgeon. He also appeared in the movie The Exorcist and in other soaps including The Guiding Light and The Edge of Night. He died from a stroke at age 64.
