| Ron Raines (born December 2, 1949 in Texas City, Texas) is an American actor. Raines currently plays the character of Alan Spaulding on Guiding Light a role he has played since 1994. He is the third actor to play the part of the nefarious Alan Spaulding. He appeared in the 1992 Broadway revivial of Show Boat with Donald O'Connor, Teddy and Alice with Len Cariou, toured with Debbie Reynolds in The Unsinkable Molly Brown and the international production of Can Can with Chita Rivera.
