Rosearik Rikki Simons AKA Rikki Simons (born September 8, 1970 in Fontana, California), is an American, voice actor, writer, graphic novelist, and artist.

He is known as the voice of the robot GIR from Invader ZIM, and the writer and co-artist of the graphic novel series called ShutterBox (published by Tokyopop, 6 volumes, of which 3 are completed), and Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check! (2 volumes, published in color originally by Sirius Entertainment and then republished in black and white by Tokyopop), and the illustrated novel, Ranklechick and His Three-Legged Cat (published by Lulu.com).

In addition to his graphic novel and novel work, Mr. Simons also paints backgrounds for animation, including Invader ZIM and Jackie Chan Adventures. He painted both issues of Jhonen Vasquez’s comic I Feel Sick.

He works with his partner and wife, the illustrator Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons. Together they are Studio Tavicat.

Catch phrase popularization

Mr. Simons is probably best known for singing the Invader ZIM song known as the Doom Song. Many of his popular lines from the Invader Zim show were re-mixed into the main Invader ZIM theme by the electro group known as the Bass Kittens, which gained some degree of popularity.
