Biography

Rosie Malek-Yonan is an Assyrian author and artist. She is a descendant of one of the oldest and most prominent Assyrian families, tracing her Assyrian roots back nearly eleven centuries. A natural-born artist, she is a classically trained composer, pianist, actor, director, writer and figure skater on the 1980 Winter Olympic Team.

Upon receiving her L.C. degree in English from University of Cambridge, Rosie Malek-Yonan studied piano at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and acting at the American Conservatory Theatre. A graduate of San Francisco State University with two degrees in Music, she won an invitation to study drama at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her plays have been produced and performed on stage in Los Angeles. A consummate performer, she has appeared in numerous notable television shows, films and plays, acting in a wide range of roles opposite many of Hollywood's leading actors and has received rave reviews as an actor and director.
