Actors - Russell Arms

Russell Arms (born February 3 1922) is an American actor and singer born in Berkeley, California and known for his 1957 country/western hit single, "Cinco Robles" ("The Five Oaks"). "Cinco Robles" entered the charts on January 12 and stayed for fifteen weeks, peaking at number twenty-two.

From 1952 to 1957, Arms was best known as a vocalist and host of Your Hit Parade, a syndicated television series that reviewed the popular songs of the day and on which a regular cast of vocalists would perform the top seven songs of the week.

Russell Arms began his career on radio, moving up to minor screen roles during World War II as a contract player with Warner Brothers and later as a freelance performer, mostly in Westerns.

Since then, he has appeared in numerous supporting roles in both movies and television. He and his wife Mary Lynne reside in Illinois after spending many years in Palm Springs, California.
