Sarah Parish (born 1969 at Yeovil, Somerset) is a British actress known from award-winning shows Peak Practice, Hearts and Bones and Cutting It. An appearance in a cult advert for Manchester-based Boddingtons bitter in 1994 (as Vera, who likes nothing better than "a good rub down with chip fat") led to a series of roles as northern women. She trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London. Recently, she starred alongside Debra Messing in the movie The Wedding Date
. Her parents are Bill and Thelma; she also has one sister and one brother (John Parish).

Parish co-owns the production company Aphra Productions with actress Dervla Kirwan and now lives in Islington, London.
