Sarah Thompson (born October 25, 1979 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress. She now joins the cast of 7th Heaven this season as a series regular playing "Rose". She is also best known to The WB's audience as "Eve" on Angel.

Biography

Thompson was born in Los Angeles, California and divided her time growing up between Pasadena, California, Scottsdale, Arizona and New York City. A friend encouraged her to audition for a production of The Music Man
at a children's theater group in Scottsdale. When she was cast in the chorus, she was hooked on acting and continued performing in musicals for the theater group. When her family moved to New York City, she booked a manager and an agent and started acting professionally. Her first real acting job was one line in Ang Lee's film The Ice Storm

Career

Thompson first big break came when she was cast as one of the leads in Manchester Prep, a series that unfortunately never made the air. Shortly after Manchester Prep was cancelled, she auditioned for the pilot of David E. Kelley's series Boston Public. The role was unlike the previous "good girls" that she was used to playing and Thompson was incredibly determined to show everyone that she could be more than the girl-next-door. After four auditions, she landed the part. She is proudest for her role as "Bambi" in Line of Fire, a character that took her out of her comfort zone and challenged her tremendously. The creator of Line of Fire, Rod Lurie, created the role specifically for her. Thompson then starred in the last season of The WB's series Angel as "Eve".

Personal life

When Thompson is not acting, she loves cooking, a hobby she recently picked up after taking several cooking classes. She also enjoys singing and dancing, with the goal of someday doing a Broadway show. As the daughter of a former special education teacher, Thompson spends free time volunteering at local schools. Growing up with lots of pets, she hopes to someday adopt a Pug.

Attended the Nightingale-Bamford high school in New York City.
