Sarath Kumar an actor and politician (MP, Rajya sabha). He has good reputation as actor in Kollywood, also he is the present secretary of South Indian Film Artistes Association. He started his career in Kollywood as a villain, and slowly transformed to second hero in Vijaykanth movies. After few movies as second hero, KS Ravikumar launched him as lead hero in his project which was a success at Box-office. There after KS Ravikumar worked with him in several projects which were box-office hits, and also promoting him as one of the leading heroes in Kollywood in late 90's.

He is a good athlete and a body builder in early days of his career. Even now he continues his work outs and considered a fine Macho man in Kollywood.
