| Sean Gullette (born June 4 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA) is a New York-based writer and actor who first received international acclaim for his role in Darren Aronofsky's film Pi. In Pi, Gullette played Max Cohen, a troubled and aloof mathematical genius searching for patterns and meaning in the stockmarket. Along with being the movie's lead actor, he also co-wrote the original script for the movie and helped design the film's promotional website. Gullette also starred in a minor role in Aronofsky's film Requiem for a Dream, as a psychiatrist. Gullette played a minor role in Aronofsky's film The Fountain as well. Gullette graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in 1991 with a degree in literature. He has studied acting in London and New York City.
