| Sean Kanan (born November 2, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American actor. He started on soap operas playing the role of Alan "A.J." Quartermaine, Jr. on the ABC soap General Hospital in January 1993. In June 1997, he left the soap to pursue other opportunities. In August 1999, he was offered the role of Jude Cavanaugh on NBC's Sunset Beach until the show was cancelled on New Year's Eve of that year. From November 2000 until his final appearance in February 2005, he joined the cast as Deacon Sharpe on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
