Selton Figueiredo Melo (his artistic name has double L) is a Brazilian actor, born on December 30, 1972 in Passos, Minas Gerais. He works on TV, movies and theater. He also produces and directs movies and videoclips. This talented actor hosts Tarja Preta, a TV show about culture and independent movies.

His most intriguing character is André, from the Brazilian movie Lavoura Arcaica (To the left of the father), directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho, based on the homonym novel by Raduan Nassar.

One of his most fascinating TV characters is João da Ega from Os Maias, also directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho, based on the homonym novel by Eça de Queiroz.
