Shane Connor is an Australian actor.

He is mainly recognised for several roles in Australian soap operas. He played the recurring role of Bongo Connors in the soap Prisoner in 1986. The character was the biker brother of then prison top dog, Rita Connors. Around the same time Connor played another biker in a soap opera, briefly appearing as Angel in Sons and Daughters.

Connor later played the key on-going role of builder Joe Scully in Neighbours starting in 1999. He was abruptly sacked from the position in October 2003. The producers gave the reason that Connor had an amphetamine problem and would report to work hung-over.

On November 30 2005 Connor was awarded A$196,709 in damages by a court which ruled that Grundy television had unfairly terminated his contract. He is considering further legal action that could be taken against Grundy.

In the show's storyline his character was sent off to a farm, ostensibly on a temporary basis, but he never returned. His wife Lyn (Janet Andrewartha) remained in the series and later their marriage was said to have been dissolved. Joe's wife Lyn has since started a relationship with another Joe, the returning Joe Mangel (Mark Little).

Connor has recently worked in the United Kingdom and has appeared as a guest in reality TV shows like the Salon. Shane's former wife was Nell Feeney, who plays Janelle Timmins in Neighbours.
