| Sherrie Hewson (born Sherrie Lynn Hutchinson on 17 September 1950 in Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire, England) is an English actress who trained at RADA. She has appeared in many British television programmes and films including, Carry on Behind, Hanover Street, Oh, Doctor Beeching! and Barbara. However it is for her roles as Maureen Holdsworth in Coronation Street and Virginia Raven in Crossroads that she will be best remembered. She is currently appearing as Lesley Meredith in another popular soap opera, Emmerdale, as well as being a regular presenter on Loose Women, an ITV1 daytime magazine programme aimed at women. Sherrie has one daughter, Keeley.
