| Shu Qi () (born April 16, 1976) is the stage name of a Taiwanese actress born Lin Li-hui (林立慧). Her stage name is occasionally romanized as Hsu Chi, Hsu Qi, Shu Qui or Shu Kei. Her name is sometimes seen in the Western order (Qi Shu). Shu Qi began as a model for adult magazines and other erotic photography. It did not take long for her to star in various soft porn films, before eventually switching to mainstream films. It is often thought that Shu Qi learned English for her role as Lai Kwai in The Transporter. In fact, Shu Qi did not actually learn the language, but rather memorised the lines phonetically. But recently she travels around of the world and able to communicate in English. In 2005 she won Best Actress in the Golden Horse Award for her triple role in Hou Hsiao-Hsien's Three Times.
