Silvio Muccino (born April 14, 1982) is an Italian actor born in Rome, Italy. He started his career in the Italian cinema usually playing lead roles in movies directed by his brother (Gabriele Muccino is an Italian director indeed). His first appearance was in the movie Come te nessuno mai (1999), where Muccino plays the lead role of a student participating a school occupation as a protest against the homologation of students. Muccino then starred in movies such as Ricordati di me (2003), Che ne sarà di noi (2004), which can be seen as romantic comedies, even though the drama element (always present in movies directed by Gabriele Muccino, such as L'ultimo bacio) is very strong. After his beginning with his brother, Muccino has appeared in other Italian movies such as Il cartaio (2004, directed by Dario Argento, a noted Italian director), Manuale d'amore (2005), Il mio miglior nemico (2005). Nowadays Silvio Muccino, like other young italian actors such as Riccardo Scamarcio and Martina Stella, is one of the emerging actors in the Italian cinema.
