Simran Nawal (b.April 4,1976), known professionally as Simran, is an Indian film actress. Though she was born in Mumbai and made her debut in the Hindi film Tere Mere Sapne, she later on moved south to the Tamil movie industry and Telugu movie industry where she established herself as an actress of repute. Her notable films include Kanannethere Thondrinal, Vaali and Kannathil Muthamittal
.

On December 2nd 2004, she married Deepak Bagga, a childhood friend. She gave birth to a boy on June 13, 2005. She currently lives in Delhi.

Simran is a good dancer and can perform Bharatanatyam with the same ease as with Salsa. She can change expressions quickly and has a photogenic face. She seems to have retired from acting.
