Sonali Bendre (* 1 January 1975) is an Indian Bollywood actress and a model.

Biography

Sonali Bendre started out as a model before being selected for the "Star Dust Talent Search". Her first role was in Aag (1994) opposite Govinda. Though not a very successful actress, she has given critically acclaimed performances in films like Sarfarosh
(1999) and Anaahat (2003). She is considered to be one of the most beautiful actresses in the Indian film industry.

Bendre rarely plays the heroine in Bollywood movies, but she worked with almost all top actors of the business, among them Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. In 1995 she won the Filmfare Lux New Face Award.

On November 16 2001 she married film producer Goldie Bhel. She acted in a few Telugu and Kannada movies and has been successful there. She also hosted the 50th Filmfare Awards alongside Saif Ali Khan and Farida Jalal on February 26 2005. On August 11 2005 she gave birth to a son, Ranvir, in Beach Candy Hospital.
