Stephen Nichols (born February 19, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an actor who famously stars in soap operas such as Days of Our Lives as Steve "Patch" Johnson (1985-1990) and General Hospital as Stefan Cassadine (1996-2002, 2003).

Nichols previously reunited with former Days co-star Mary Beth Evans, the other half of supercouple Patch and Kayla Johnson, on GH from 1996 until Evans' departure in 1999.

Nichols guest-starred on the sitcom The Nanny at friend Charles Shaughnessy's request (Shaughnessy played Shane Donovan on Days of Our Lives in the 1980s and early 1990s). Nichols played a soap star on the fictional soap One Day After Another, a further parody on their days at Days.

Outside of soap operas, Nichols is perhaps best known as the voice of IKEA.
