Steven Weber (born March 4, 1961) is an American actor.

Early life

Weber was born to a Jewish American family in Queens, New York; his mother was a nightclub singer and his father was a manager of Borscht Belt
comedians. Weber is a graduate of the State University of New York of Purchase, New York (or SUNY) for short.

Career

Weber started appearing in TV commercials while still in the third grade. He had appeared in several motion pictures or TV mini-series as minor characters in 1984 such as Paul Hirsch in The Flamingo Kid
, but would first gain notoriety on the CBS daytime drama, As The World Turns playing Kevin Gibson in 1985 - 1986. He appeared in the 1987 film Hamburger Hill
as the character of Worcester. He has appeared in both dramas and comedies and is comfortable with both. He also plays both nice guys and evil characters. His most well known role was playing one of the brothers, Brian Michael Hackett (an airplane pilot) on the comedy TV series, Wings. Weber was featured in the Broadway production of The Producers (musical). He will appear in the TV mini-series adaptation of author Stephen King's novel, Desperation in 2006.

He is currently set to co-star with D.L. Hughley and Matthew Perry
in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, a new television series by West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin
. He will play the role of Jack Rudolph.

Private life

Weber married his first wife (whom he has since divorced), Finn Carter
on the set of As The World Turns while she was playing Sierra Esteban Montgomery. On July 9, 1995 he married his second wife, interior decorator and former Los Angeles Bureau chief for MTV, Juliette Hohnen. Weber and Hohnen are the parents of two sons: Jack Alexander Hohnen-Weber (born January 5, 2001) and Alfie James (born February 25, 2003).
