| Suzanne Bing (March 10, 1885 – November 22, 1967) was a French actress. Born in Paris in the 2ième arrondissement, she married the composer Edgard Varèse on November 5 1907 and moved to Berlin with him shortly afterwards. In 1910 she gave birth to their daughter Claude. Bing divorced Varèse in 1913. In 1917 she had a son, the author Bernard Bing, with the theatre producer and playwright Jacques Copeau. In 1919 she joined Copeau's Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier in Paris and founded an acting school with him there. She would return to the Vieux Colombier from 1931 to 1933 in Copeau's Compagnie des Quinze. She played the governess in the 1934 film Le calvaire de Cimiez. Between 1939 and 1952, she translated (together with Copeau) a number of Shakespeare's plays into French. She died in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
