The Foam Finger is the twenty-ninth episode of Nickelodeon's television series, Drake & Josh
. The episode first premiered on October 8th, 2005, as the ninth episode of the third season.

Plot synopsis

Walter and Audrey spark a fight between Drake and Josh when they mention a Padres game.

It is revealed that Drake and Josh first met when they were eight (as opposed to having met in the seventh grade, as was previously said) at a Padres game. They both were hoping to buy a foam finger, but Drake ends up buying the last one. The younger versions of Drake and Josh end up getting into a fight, causing the police to be called, on two eight year-olds! Drake and Josh tell their side of the story, both saying that the other started the fight. When Drake produces the foam finger, Josh immediately rips it in half, and they won't let it go. Finally Megan decides to end the fight by bringing in the only person that can end the feud, the man who sold Drake the foam finger all those years ago. It is then discovered that Megan threw a cookie, which hit Josh, and caused the fight.
