| Thilakan is a Malayalam film actor. He is regarded as one of the greatest Malayalam actors. His career began in 1981 with a minor role in the film Koelangal, and he continues to act into the present. He is known for his unique style of acting and excellence in character roles. He missed the National Award for the best actor by a narrow margin for his performance in the movie "Perumthachan". Some of his films are Sphadikam, Moonnam Pakam, Kireedam and Chenkol.
