| Thomas Lennon III (9 August, 1970) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is married to actress Jenny Robertson. Lennon is a native of Oak Park, Illinois and a 1988 graduate of Oak Park River Forest High School. After graduation, Lennon went to NYU with the intention of becoming a dramatic actor. He soon found that he preferred comedy. He joined a sketch comedy group called The New Group. The core members were the basis of the future comedy group The State. The group changed their name after graduation while working on a development deal for MTV. The 11 member group has always insisted that the name had no symbolic meaning.
