Tony Osoba is a Scottish actor, born on 15 March in Glasgow, Scotland. His close family all live in Scotland including his mum,(Margaret Osoba) who is also quite well known. He has two sisters Elizabeth Christie and Patricia Bamford, a niece Lisa Christie and three nephews; Paul and Allan(twins)and Stephen Christie.

He is best known for his role as Jim 'Jock' MacClaren in the popular British sitcom Porridge in the 1970s and its sequel Going Straight.

He has also had lead roles as Det. Sgt. Charles Jarvis in Dempsey & Makepeace (1985-6) and as Peter Ingram in Coronation Street (1990). Other work includes The Professionals (1978), Charles Endell, Esq (1979), The Flame Trees of Thika (1981) and Between the Lines (1994). He has also appeared twice in Doctor Who in the stories Destiny of the Daleks (1979) and Dragonfire (1987).Has olso recently been on a tour of the U.K. acting the part of the Kralahome in `The King and I.
