Trisha (born 4th May 1983 as Trisha Krishnan), is one of the upcoming actresses in the Tamil and Telugu film industry. She is known for her glamorous roles in such films as Saamy and Varsham. She has also been endorsing brands such as Coke.

Early life

She is the only child and got her education from Church Park School and Ethiraj College. After getting her education, she started modelling and won Miss Salem 1999, Miss Chennai 2000, Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile 2001.

Film career

She first made her debut in films when she was offered a small cameo in the film Jodi. The first movie she actually signed where she was enacting the role of the leading lady was in Priyadarshan's Laysa Laysa but due to financial difficulties faced by the producer of the film at that period of time, the other film she signed, Mounam Pesiyadhey opposite Surya got released first. Though at first her movie's did not do very well at the box office, she later made a bang with movies like Saamy
& Ghilli. She later then made her entry into Telugu language films through the film Varsham in which earned her many accolades and made her the leading actress in Hyderabad. She currently has many movies up for release, one of which is Stalin
opposite Chiranjeevi.
