| Tristan Rogers (born June 3, 1946 in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian-American actor. He became mostly known for his role as WSB agent Robert Scorpio on the popular soap opera General Hospital from April 1980 until June 1992. His years spent on General Hospital came as a result of the monumentally huge story arc of Luke and Laura, whose wedding captured one of the biggest audiences in television history. Rogers came on board as an agent of the WSB (World Security Bureau) much like the CTU of today's "24" with Kiefer Sutherland. Rogers played this character, Robert Scorpio, for the duration of his time on the show. His death in a boating explosion along with wife Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) (the body was never found; Anna soon turned up alive on All My Children) was a sad moment for many fans. He returned for a few well-received episodes in 1995 as a spirit to comfort his daughter, Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) who was dealing with the loss of her boyfriend Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) to AIDS and was herself suffering from being HIV postitive. In late January 2006, Robert returned to Port Charles to try and stave off the onset of a deadly enchephalitis epidemic that his old pal Luke accidentally transported to the mainland from overseas. Upon his awkward reunion with Robin, he explained that the WSB threatened to kill an amnesiac Anna unless he agreed to assist in staging his own death. He had spent the last dozen or so years in the "Black Ops," a division of the WSB that dealt with evil in less than honorable manners. While Robert and Luke failed to find the mastermind who generated the virus, they were able to obtain the antidote from former love Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), whose husband perished at the hospital. After six weeks, Robert departed once again, but is expected to return in April 2006, this time to deal with the Port Charles mob.
