Vicki Zhao (; born March 12, 1976) is an Mainland Chinese film actress and pop singer. She was born and raised in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. Zhao graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2000. She quickly became prominently popular while playing Little Swallow in the television series "Huanzhu Princess" (還珠格格). She was criticized after posing a magazine photo with a dress bearing the flag of Imperial Japan during World War II due to anti-Japanese sentiment. Her career has since largely recovered from it.

Trivia

Has starred as a main character in many of Qiong Yao's television miniseries.
Rose to fame playing Little Swallow (小燕子) in the miniseries "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" (還珠格格), later had a number of successful tv series, and movies.
Jump to music industry and released a number of well-sold albums.
Is 5 feet, 5 inches tall (1.66 m).
Won Golden Eagle Awards (Mainland China's Emmy) for "Best Actress" in 1999.
Was ranked #4 on Forbe's 2005 List of Top Chinese Celebrities.
Won best actress for Shanghai International Film Festival.
Won Best Actress for Chinese Monument Film Award -- The highest honour from the government towards the film industry
