Vilma Santos (born November 3, 1953) is a multi-awarded actress from the Philippines. She married actor Edu Manzano, father of her son, Luis "Lucky" Manzano. Several years after, the two annulled their marriage. She married Senator Ralph Recto and was blessed another son named Ryan Christian. She entered politics and won as mayor of Lipa City, Batangas.
After becoming what is known in the Philippines as a Star For All Seasons, "Ate Vi" acquired a following of fans known as Vilmanians, whose devotion to their idol was only matched by the fans of her contemporary "superstar" Nora Aunor (known as Noranians). Although the rivalry between Vilmanians and Noranians remained mostly friendly, there have been times when clashes occurred in the streets of Manila.
