| Willard "Bill" Kennedy (1908-1997) was an American actor and voice artist during the 1940s and 1950s. Although perhaps not well known by name, his voice was forever etched in the memory of the fans of the TV series The Adventures of Superman: "Faster than a speeding bullet... more powerful than a locomotive..." etc. In that series, he also appeared off-screen (uncredited) as the wrestling announcer in the 1952 episode called No Holds Barred and on-screen as the racetrack announcer in the 1955 episode called Joey. He also appears to have provided the voice on the phone for the 1954 episode called Beware the Wrecker, although Denver Pyle played the part on-screen and had a couple of spoken lines. He also hosted a very popular TV show in Detroit.
