Aaron Helmer Sele is a MLB pitcher that has compiled a W-L record of 137-104 with a 4.59 ERA during a 13-year baseball career.

Sele began his career in 1993 as a member of the Boston Red Sox. That season, he showed great promise, going 7-2 with a 2.74 ERA in 18 starts. However, he never fulfilled his potential with the Sox, going 38-33 from 1993-1997, and in 1998 he became a member of the Texas Rangers. In his first year with Texas, he made his first All-Star team, going 19-11. He followed up his breakthrough year by going 18-9 in 1999 before joining the Seattle Mariners in 2000.

With Seattle, Sele, who attended Washington State University, went 17-10 in 2000 and was named an American League All-Star for the second time. In 2001, the Mariners righty went 15-5 with a 3.60 ERA.

From 2002-2004, the starter pitched for the Anaheim Angels, combining to go 24-24 during those three seasons. In 2005, Sele, now 35, re-joined Seattle's rotation, but he was released on Aug. 1 after going 6-12 with a 5.66 ERA. Sele then signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on Aug. 6, 2005.

He was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers to a minor league contract before the 2006 season and invited to spring training.
