Ahmad Raheem Carroll (born August 4, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American football cornerback who currently plays for the Green Bay Packers on the National Football League. He was selected out of the University of Arkansas in the first round, with the 25th overall pick, of the 2004 NFL Draft.

In his first year in the NFL, Carroll never met expectations in Green Bay and could never quite fill the shoes of disgruntled Mike McKenzie, often drawing penalities for illegal contact. Coach Sherman and defensive coordinator Jim Bates made example of Carroll in the 2005 minicamps for his excessive and illegal physical contact on receivers. After going through unique and embarrassing exercises such as play with boxing gloves to reduce illegal contact, Joey Thomas seemed to be the prime candidate to lower Carroll on the depth chart and become Green Bay's starting corner come the 2005 season. However, that opportunity never really materialized, as Thomas was injured in training camp and only ended up starting in place of Carroll for one game. Carroll is nicknamed 'Highway 28' and 'Grabby Smurf' for the way receivers tend to have their way with him and how it uses illegal contact to slow them down.

College career

At Arkansas, Carroll excelled in multiple sports as both a sprinter for the track team and a cornerback for the football team. He finished his college football career with the following statistics:
