Alex Brown (born June 4, 1979 in Jasper, Florida) is a National Football League defensive end for the Chicago Bears. The 2006 season will be his fifth year in the NFL.

High school career

Alex Brown attended Hamilton County High School in White Springs, Florida. As a senior, he was a first team Class 3A All-State selection.

College

He attended University of Florida from 1998 to 2001, and was an All-American, first team All SEC and Lombardi Award semifinalist and finalist. He had a school record of 33 career sacks.

His best game as an amateur came in 1999, when he sacked Tee Martin--quarterback of the defending national champion Tennessee Volunteers--five times on national teleivison.
