Andre Lamont Johnson (born July 11, 1981 in Miami, Florida) is an American football Pro Bowl wide receiver currently playing for the Houston Texans of the NFL. He was drafted in the first round with the third pick overall of the 2003 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami.In his rookie season Johnson started and played in all 16 games and recording 66 receptions for 976 yards and 4 touchdowns. His breakout year came in 2004 whhen he recorded 79 catches for 1142 yards and 6 trips to the endzone while being selected for his fist Pro-Bowl.The following season he only played 13 games and had a lackluster 63 receptions with 688 yards and 2 touchdowns.

High School career

Johnson attended Miami Senior High School in Miami, Florida, where he was a Parade All-America selection, a first team 6-5A all-state, and a Dallas Morning News National Top 100 accolades selection. As a senior, he posted 31 receptions for 908 yards (29.29 yards per rec. avg.) and 15 touchdowns. As a junior, he caught 25 passes for 618 yards (24.72 yards per rec. avg.) and 12 touchdowns. He was also an excellent basketball player and a track star.
