| Angela Nikodinov (born May 9, 1980 in Spartanburg, South Carolina), is an American figure skater. She is the daughter of Bulgarian immigrants, and speaks Bulgarian fluently. Raised in San Pedro, Los Angeles, she trained at Lake Arrowhead. Her coach is Igor Pashkevitch. Previous coaches were Peter Oppegard, Frank Carroll, Elena Tcherkasskaia and Richard Callaghan. While she was in Portland, Oregon for the 2005 U.S. National Championships, she and her family were involved in a car accident that killed her mother. Nikodinov has not returned to competition since the crash due to injuries she sustained, but hopes to return to competition in the future. Currently, Nikodinov is coaching Bulgarian figure skater Ivan Dinev, a skater at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Competitive highlights1996
