Brian Knighton is an American professional wrestler, better known as Axl Rotten.

Career

Knighton won a Taipei death match (taped fists with broken glass glued to them) against his "brother" and former tag team partner (they were known as the Bad Breed), Ian Rotten. After that, he teamed with Balls Mahoney
on and off (when they weren't having a match against each other), they were known as The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks. After ECW died, Axl has been wrestling on the independent circuit and was recently at both Hardcore Homecoming & ECW One Night Stand.

Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten were recently approached by the WWE with the possibility of being signed to the company, but WWE has lost interest in signing them and are no longer in consideration.

=Axl Missing= Early on Saturday, March 25, 2006 it was reported on many various news sites that Axl Rotten's best friend contacted UWX Promoter Frank Goodman and reported Axl Rotten as missing. According to the source, Axl Rotten had been missing for about a month. Goodman reported the news on his New York hotline, 516-214-8333. Gerweck.net later reported that Ian Rotten
and Jim Rotten both announced at an IWA: Mid South show that Axl Rotten had been found and is currently in rehab.

=Axl Is Found= Early on Monday, March 27, 2006 it was reported on may various news sites that Axl Rotten was found and was safe. It was reported that at the IWA Mid-South show over the weekend, Ian Rotten
and Jim Fannin both did commentary stating that Axl Rotten has been found, and is currently in rehab.
