Barry Greenstein (born December 30, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois) is a professional poker player.

Greenstein was exposed to poker at a young age as his father, Jack, was a noted poker player in the Army. After graduating from Bogan High School, he earned a bachelor degree in computer science from the University of Illinois. He also studied for a PhD in mathematics, but left before completing his dissertation. He worked for Symantec until retiring in 1991 at age 36 when he began to play poker full time.

As of 2005 Greenstein has two World Series of Poker bracelets: He has also won two World Poker Tour (WPT) titles:
  • Fifth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open ($1,278,370) in a field including Chip Reese
    and Surinder Sunar.
  • 2006 WPT Invitational at the Commerce Casino defeating second-place finisher Blair Rodman
Greenstein has appeared in the first two series of Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament and will appear in the third season when broadcast. He is currently appearing in the GSN series High Stakes Poker.

His total live tournament winnings are now in excess of $4,200,000.

He donates all of his tournament winnings to charities, mostly to , and is sometimes called the Robin Hood of poker.

Greenstein taught Mimi Tran
how to play poker in exchange for her teaching him how to speak Vietnamese. He also plays online at PokerStars, under the alias "crazyplayer". (note: this is a username he set up for Mimi)

Greenstein also wrote a book titled Ace on the River which WPT Season 3 champion Tuan Le claims to have shown him how to succeed on the poker circuit.

Greenstein has two children and four step-children, and resides in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. One of his sons is poker player Joe Sebok.
