William "Billy" Kidd (born April 13, 1943
) is an American alpine skier originally from Stowe, Vermont, now living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He was the first American man (along with Jimmy Heuga in the same race) to earn an Olympic medal in alpine skiing.

Career highlights

  • 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria: Silver Medal in Slalom.
  • Was awarded a World Championships Bronze Medal at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck in Combined (Combined was not an Olympic medal event in 1964, but the races doubled as the FIS World Championships).
  • Earned a Gold Medal in Combined and a Bronze Medal in Slalom at the 1970 World Championships in Val Gardena, Italy.
  • Two (2) World Cup victories, 4 World Cup podiums, and 19 World Cup top-ten finishes.
