| Bob Staak, born in Darien, Connecticut is a former basketball player and coach. He was a star collegiate player at the University of Connecticut from 1968 through 1971. He would later become the head coach at Wake Forest University, and serve as an NBA assistant for numerous teams. He served one game for the Washington Bullets as an interim head coach in 1997, a loss.
