Career Overview

Duncum Jr. is the son of wrestler Bobby Duncum. He wrestled on the independent circuit in Texas at the start of his career in 1990. He formed a team called the Texas Mustangs with Johnny Hawk
(now known as JBL) in the Global Wrestling Federation, which was aired on ESPN. They won the Tag Team Titles from Black Bart
and Johnny Mantel and kept them for about two months before losing them.

His biggest success came in WCW as a member of the West Texas Rednecks. This group was comprised of Curt Hennig
, Barry Windham
and his brother Kendall Windham
. They were originally supposed to be a heels against rapper Master P
's No Limit Soldiers but the southern wrestling fans of WCW cheered them and booed the rappers. They disbanded in October 1999 and Duncum Jr. was recovering from an injury when he died of a prescription drug overdose on January 24, 2000.

  • Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) ranked him # 494 of the 500 best singles wrestlers of the "PWI Years" in 2003.
