Brad Alan Van Pelt (born April 5, 1951 in Owosso, Michigan) is a former American football linebacker in the NFL. He played for the New York Giants from 1973-1983, the Los Angeles Raiders from 1984-1985, and the Cleveland Browns in 1986. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times. He attended Michigan State University. He is the father of current Denver Broncos quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt
.

Van Pelt was also a noted basketball player and baseball player at the college level and was actually drafted to play professional baseball before choosing football instead.
