Brandon Jacobs (Born July 6, 1982) is a running back for the New York Giants. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2005 draft. With a rare combination of 4.4 speed and impressive size (officially listed at 6 ft 4 in, 256 lb but may be closer to 6 ft 5 in and 267 lb), Jacobs has been an asset for the Giants in goal-line situations. He leads all rookies in rushing touchdowns with 6 through the first 15 weeks of the season. Jacobs was born in Napoleonville, LA, and attended Coffeyville Community College. National recruiting service Rivals.com listed Jacobs the No.1 JUCO prospect in America in 2003. He signed with Auburn but was relegated to 3rd team on the depth chart behind eventual Top 5 NFL draft picks Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown. Unhappy with playing time, Jacobs transferred to Division I-AA Southern Illinois for his senior season.

Purportedly, Jacobs has publicly stated that he hates the Saints and LSU, and always rooted against his hometown teams.
