Brian Wade Grant (born March 5 1972 in Columbus, Ohio) is a professional basketball player in the NBA, known for his tenacious rebounding and blue-collar defense.

Previously, he played with the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers. He signed with the Phoenix Suns after being released by the Los Angeles Lakers, a year after being part of the trade that brought Shaquille O'Neal to the Miami Heat.

Brian's cousins include San Francisco 49ers cornerback Ahmed Plummer and actor/model Steven Grant.

He is nicknamed "The General" after growing up in the same town as President Ulysses S. Grant.
