| Broderick Thomas (born February 20, 1967), is a former American football linebacker. He was a two-time All-American at the University of Nebraska. He was later named to the Nebraska All-Century team . He played in the National Football League for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who drafted him in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He later played for the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Dallas Cowboys. He is the nephew of legendary Chicago Bears linebacker and Hall of Famer Mike Singletary. He was named the 36th greatest Buccaneer player of all time in 2003 . He is also famous for trying to board a plane with a loaded handgun in his luggage.
